Operations Manager - vendor management (Richmond, VA)

Summit Junction Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Richmond. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with vehicle inspections. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
