Operations Manager - vendor management (Reno, NV)

Amberfield Junction Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Reno. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for capital projects and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
