Operations Manager - vendor management (Reno, NV)

Northwind Mill Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Reno. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
