Operations Manager - vendor management (Reno, NV)

Ironwood Pine Water Authority is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
