Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Westbrook Wren Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Honolulu, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
