Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Stonegate Keystone Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Birmingham, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
