Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Silverline Birch Freight Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
