Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Fern Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 369 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
