Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Timber Auto Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for service appointments and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with vehicle inspections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
