Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Fernwood Pike Construction Group is a Boston contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 79 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for subcontractor invoices and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with change orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
