Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Maple Manufacturing Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
