Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Beacon Construction and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 741 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for project schedules and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
