Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Redstone Wren Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Indianapolis working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
