Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Wren Freight Partners and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
