Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Redstone Umber Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Indianapolis. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
