Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Rook Manufacturing and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
