Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Rivermark Sparrow Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around New Orleans, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
