Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Foxglove Wren Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Louisville, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
