Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Highbridge West Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Virginia Beach design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 159 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
