Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Clear Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
