Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Westbrook Meridian Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Wichita, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
