Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Stonegate Bridge Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Wichita working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for survey data and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
