Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Umber Inspection Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Track performance measures for equipment calibration and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
