Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Stone Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
