Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Redstone Umber Inspection Services Group is an inspection company in Des Moines with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for client sites and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
