Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Forge Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
