Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Fernwood Juniper Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
