Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Highbridge Stone Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Oakland design routes and schedules, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
