Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Greenridge Mill Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Houston with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 190 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
