Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Amberfield Harbor Farms Group is an agricultural business based around Portland, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 63 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
