Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Oak Transit Planning and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
