Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Cedar Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Houston. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 71 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
