Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Rivermark Stone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Toledo. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
