Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Northwind Clear Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Baltimore design routes and schedules, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for accessibility audits and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
