Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Lumen Amber Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Salt Lake City region, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with materials orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
