Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Amberfield Birch Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Minneapolis with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
