Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Westbrook Wren Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
