Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Harborlight Cedar Foods produces packaged foods at its Phoenix plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
