Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

Harborlight Construction Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for materials orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
