Operations Manager - vendor management (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Birch Facilities and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for safety inspections and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
