Operations Manager - vendor management (Raleigh, NC)

Summit Forge Transit Planning is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service alerts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
