Operations Manager - vendor management (Providence, RI)

Silverline Mill Transit Planning is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Providence. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
