Operations Manager - vendor management (Providence, RI)

Fernwood Ivory Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Providence. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 308 people based in Providence. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for contractor visits and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
