Operations Manager - vendor management (Portland, OR)

Fernwood Cross Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Portland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 165 people based in Portland. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for scheduling and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
