Operations Manager - vendor management (Portland, OR)

Greenridge Sparrow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Portland, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
