Operations Manager - vendor management (Portland, OR)

Nova Sable Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
