Operations Manager - vendor management (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Granite Water Authority and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 666 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
