Operations Manager - vendor management (Pittsburgh, PA)

Redstone Wren Transit Planning Partners plans bus and rail service for cities around Pittsburgh. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 986 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for accessibility audits and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
