Operations Manager - vendor management (Omaha, NE)

Cedar Umber Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Omaha design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
