Operations Manager - vendor management (Oakland, CA)

Ironwood Quill Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Oakland working with agencies and riders, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
